This page gives information about the responsibilities of the client (you) and the practitioner (me) with regard to the provision of services at The Authentic Herbal.

The Client practitioner relationship
The treatment and management plan will be discussed with the client before the commencement of the treatment.
For the majority of clients the treatment period will come to an end at a mutually agreed time. However the practitioner but reserves the right to stop or refuse treatment at any time.
The client has the right to stop the treatment and consultation at any time - this does not affect the refund and or cancellation policy below.
The practitioner may refer the client to another practitioner (herbal or orthodox) if it is recognisable that the client's needs are better met by other health professionals.
By making an appointment and starting treatment the client 'I' agrees to the following
Confidentiality
Any personal information gathered during consultation will not be disclosed to a third party without the client’s written consent, unless required to do so by law.
A clear record will be kept of all sessions and correspondence which will be stored in a safe and secure manner. Those records will not be disclosed to anyone other than the individual concerned and will be kept in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018.

No materials provided by the practitioner may be copied or distributes without specific permission form the practitioner
Payment
you will be asked to pay a consultation fee either before or at the time of your consultation. Once a management plan and herbal treatment have been evaluated, you will be expected to pay for your herbal treatment in full before it has been despatched or collected.
The practitioner reserves the right to change costs at any time.
Treatment
Success of any herbal treatment is not guaranteed by the practitioner.
The practitioner may change the herbs in your treatment due to a change in your condition or the availability of some products.
The services provided by The Authentic Herbal are not an alternative to orthodox medical advice. The practitioner is aware of and respects the rights of other health practitioners. If appropriate you mmay be asked if you have seen a doctor concerning your condition, and if not, advised to do so. If a general practitioner refers a patient to The Authentic Herbal the doctor remains responsible for the patient’s health. Often herbal medicine can work in conjunction with orthodox medicine, however, the Authentic Herbal will not countermand or obstruct any treatment prescribed by a doctor.
Cancellation policy:
Every now and then there are unforeseen circumstances that may stop you from coming to the appointment. A cancellation fee of £30 my be payable at the practitioners discretion for less than 24 hours notice that you are unable to attend. If further appointments are then cancelled with less than 48 hours notice the full fee may apply at the practitioners discretion.
Refunds
No refund of consultation and herbal medicine fees can be offered. Medicinal herbal products that are formulated and dispensed in accordance with the patient's needs are exempt from being returned.
Contact between appointments
The client will be able to contact the practitioner between appointments for concerns or questions regarding their treatment. The practitioner also agrees to be contacted by the clients medical professionals if deemed necessary. The practitioner will aim to respond to all correspondence within 24 hours or the next working day.
In the event of absence due to illness or holiday the practitioner will provide an alternative contact for the client wherever possible.
